We are the largest buffalo breeders in the world, with over 15,000 heads of cattle.
Buffaloes can move around freely on green uncontaminated pastures, and our supply chain traceability grants us full control on every processing step.
Animal Welfare
Pursuing the buffaloes’ welfare means taking care of their health, by ensuring a calm and peaceful environment for their entire life.
Observing the Five Freedoms dictated by the Farm Animal Welfare Council is key:
Our holdings adhere to CLASSYFARM Standards that certify animal welfare, recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.
Feeding the buffaloes correctly is essential to produce high quality milk. This is why in our Farms, we cultivate corn, wheat, barley, oats, medicinal herbs, triticale and ryegrass to feed the buffaloes.
Feeding them with these products means acquiring several nutritional, organoleptic and nutraceutical effects, which translate into greater animal welfare, improved fertility and greater vitamin intake.
We can count on a community of workers from the Punjab Indian State to take care of our buffaloes. Their traditions and experience are essential for the growth of the entire Italian animal husbandry field.
Sustainable breeding also means offering constant veterinary care to the holdings, and respect for animal welfare standards.
We make sure our buffaloes have large spaces to graze and lots of water to drink and freshen up. Every animal has 14 square meters to move around outdoors (compared to the 9 square meters set forth by current European regulations).
Animal health, events and performance data of our farms are monitored through advanced technologies and digitalized tracking systems.
In order to ensure greater care to each pregnant buffalo and greater milk linearity throughout the year.
Registration of our holdings and heads of cattle in Herd Books allows us to constantly monitor all production and reproduction events, and assess the ancestry of any registered animal.
